David Raum, the RB Leipzig midfielder, has been injured for some time and it seems that he will be out for the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old was initially expected to return from injury in February, but his recovery has been delayed by ongoing issues with his knee. He has not played since November and is now set to miss the remainder of the season.
The injury comes as a major blow for Leipzig, who are currently sitting in second place in the Bundesliga table and are in contention for a top-four finish. Raum is a key player for the team and his absence could have a significant impact on their chances of securing a Champions League spot.
Leipzig have already lost two key players this season due to injury,Chinese Super League Home Ground so they will need to find ways to cope without Raum and other key players such as Timo Werner and Dayot Upamecano.
However, despite the setback, Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick remains optimistic about the future of the club. "We're going to miss David Raum," he said. "But we also have good players like Tino Kroos and Amad Diallo who can fill the void."
Rangnick added that the team needs to stay focused and work hard to make up for the loss of Raum. "We'll do everything possible to keep our form and win games," he said. "We're still in the race for the title and we want to continue that."
