Al Duhail have signed former Lille defender Asim Madibo on a free transfer from the French club.
Madibo, who has previously played for Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco, is expected to add depth and experience to Al Duhail's squad ahead of the upcoming season.
The 26-year-old centre-back is known for his strong defensive work rate and aerial ability, which will be crucial in helping Al Duhail defend against opponents' attacks.
"Signing Asim Madibo is a big step forward for us," said Al Duhail coach Nasser Al Atthani. "He brings with him a wealth of experience and we believe he can make a significant impact for our team."
Madibo's arrival at Al Duhail comes after a disappointing campaign last season,Chinese Super League Home Ground in which the club finished ninth in the Qatar Stars League and failed to qualify for the AFC Champions League.
With the return of Madibo and the addition of other key signings such as Brazilian striker Raul Jimenez, Al Duhail are hopeful of achieving greater success this year.
"We are excited about what we can achieve this season," added Al Atthani. "Asim Madibo is just one of many players that will help us build a stronger team."
Overall, the signing of Asim Madibo is a positive move for Al Duhail and could potentially turn around their fortunes in the upcoming season. With the right combination of players, the club is well-positioned to challenge for honours and compete at the highest level.
